Where & What
Taking pictures in Boston on a trip in April. Enamel brooch in May. Sterling, pea gravel, enamel.
I spent the last weekend at the North Eastern Enamel Guild conference at the Newark Museum. Took a workshop with Jan Harrell on water decals, which were super fun. I even made something I like, always a bonus. After doing things the right way for a couple of days in a row I had the urge to do it all wrong back in my studio. So this down and dirty brooch was my result. No water decals here, just throwing stuff on and stoning off what wouldn't stick.
I think this piece is very topographical map like and is happy to be part of my Weather group of work.
