This was pictured before it was dunked in Plastic Dip, now here it is after. The pink is covering recycled plastic, nickel silver and wood, to this I added a pearl and below, oxidized silver and enamel on copper.
This piece stirs up some sense memories for me (acting term for a memory you can recall with numerous senses) of alien upper class women's clubs I visited a few times in my youth. They were pervaded by a strange primness and decorated with large patterned, garden inspired wallpaper. They were inhabited by women I imagined must have had white wall-to-wall carpeting and french antiques in their bedrooms. It goes without saying these women also wore pearls.
