Preparations for an open studio tour in June are underway. 

Creative Minds, Busy Hands: "Find, Make, Wear"

The webpage is online, that was fast. You gotta love the internet! Lots of creative minds and busy hands, see the fruit of their labor on the Victoria & Albert Museum's website, curated by Dorothy Hogg,  "Find, Make, Wear" . The challenge was to reuse materials not typically associated with  jewelry. The variety is inspiring, you'll never look at "garbage" in quite the same way again.

It's the Little Things

Crocus, daffodils, blossoms are bursting forth. When these little things breakthrough, it has to be Spring, you have to feel hopeful. I love being a replanted east coaster. San Francisco has it's own marvels, but seasons isn't one of them. So today I had a surprise that seemed just like a hopeful new sprout. The appropriately named "Green Comma" brooch was selected by the wonderful jewelry artist Dorothy Hogg from the flickr group "Find Make Wear", to be included on a permanent page on the Victoria & Albert Museum's website.
